Play Mutation of J.B. Online
You wake up as a pig-man in your cousin’s lab, clicking through bizarre rooms, grabbing random junk, and trying to make sense of puzzles that involve fishing keys out of toilets. The dialogue’s pure ‘90s cheese, and the whole thing feels like a weird dream you can’t look away from.
Mutation of J.B. came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Riki Computer Games. It was one of those odd, experimental titles from the era when developers were still figuring out what adventure games could be, often relying on strange premises and pixelated charm rather than big budgets or cinematic storytelling.
You control J.B., a man transformed into a pig-human hybrid, and must navigate a surreal laboratory environment to find a cure. The gameplay involves screen-by-screen exploration, interacting with bizarre objects, and solving inventory-based puzzles that range from logical to absurdly humorous. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes slow, with a difficulty that leans toward trial and error due to the unconventional solutions required. Playing it feels like wandering through someone else's strange, slightly broken dream.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
