Orbits: Voyage Through the Solar System came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series. I don't recall the developer offhand, but it was a product of its time, one of those educational titles that felt right at home on a beige desktop tower. It didn't try to dazzle with flashy graphics; it just presented the solar system with a quiet, almost academic seriousness.

You don't control a character so much as you guide your own curiosity, clicking through planetary profiles and orbital diagrams. The main objective is to absorb information about each celestial body, from Mercury's craters to Neptune's storms.
