I picked up Pac-Man World & Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness for the Game Boy Advance back in 2005, a Namco release that felt like a solid attempt to bring the arcade characters into a new dimension on a handheld. It was a time when platformers were trying to do more with less power, and this one managed to carve out its own space without trying to be the next big thing.

You control either Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man through a series of maze-like levels, bouncing on trampolines, flipping switches to open new paths, and avoiding or outsmarting ghosts. The main goal is still to clear stages by eating dots, but now you also explore screen by screen, solve environmental puzzles, and face off against giant ghost bosses. The pacing is methodical, especially in Ms. Pac-Man's puzzle-focused stages where you need to plan your route carefully. It feels like a clever twist on the classic formula, mixing familiar dot-munching with exploration that keeps you engaged.
