Pirates Of The Caribbean (TRSI) (EU) on GBA is one of those licensed games that feels like it could have been better. You get the ship battles and sword fights, but the controls are a little stiff, especially when boarding enemy vessels. The pixel art is decent though, and sailing around does give you that pirate fantasy for a while.
I remember getting stuck early on because the game doesn’t explain much—just throws you into the Caribbean with a basic ship and expects you to figure it out. The combat is simple, just button mashing, but the ship upgrades keep you going. It’s not terrible, just rough around the edges.
If you’re a fan of the movies, you might get some enjoyment out of it, but don’t expect anything deep.
