Pokemon Crystallos is a GBA rom hack that feels familiar but with enough twists to keep you guessing. The first thing you notice is the new region, all icy cliffs and hidden caves, which makes exploration more rewarding than usual.

Early on, you run into some unexpected Pokemon choices—nothing game-breaking, but it changes how you plan your team. The pacing is slower than the official games, which might bother some people, but I liked how it forced me to actually think about routes and trainer battles instead of rushing through.
