Pokemon Electro Ball is a GBA rom hack that leans hard into electric types. You start with a Pikachu that feels stronger than usual, and most early trainers have some kind of shock-based team. The overworld has this constant buzzing energy to it, like you're walking through a power plant half the time.

I remember hitting a gym where every trainer had Magnemite. The battles got repetitive fast, but there's something satisfying about watching sparks fly nonstop. The movesets are tweaked too—Thunderbolt hits like a truck early on, which makes grinding easier but also kinda trivializes some fights.

If you're into electric types, Pokemon Electro Ball delivers. Just don't expect much variety outside of that.
