Play Pokemon Omega Red Online

Pokemon Omega Red is a GBA rom hack that feels like a fresh take on the classic formula. You start in a familiar region, but the map twists in unexpected ways, with new areas and tougher trainers right from the beginning.

The first gym leader already has a full team, which caught me off guard. I lost twice before grinding a bit in the tall grass nearby. The wild Pokemon levels are higher than usual, so battles feel more intense early on.

There are some neat additions, like being able to catch starters from other regions early on. I found a Totodile just wandering in a route that normally only has Pidgey and Rattata. The difficulty curve is steep but fair, if you don't mind losing a few times.

Pokemon Omega Red keeps the core experience but tweaks enough to make it feel different. The new story bits are subtle but add some mystery to the usual journey.
