Game Overview

Pokemon Sky Twilight is one of those fan-made GBA hacks that feels surprisingly polished. You start in a new region with a mix of familiar and original Pokemon, and the first few routes have this nice balance between discovery and nostalgia.

I remember running into a wild Shinx early on, which threw me off since it's not usually in these games. The sprites are clean, and the new areas don't feel like cheap edits—they actually fit the world. The story starts slow, but there's this weird mystery around the sky changing colors that keeps you going.

Battles are standard Pokemon fare, but some of the trainer teams are cleverly built. I got wrecked by a gym leader who actually used status moves effectively, which was refreshing. The only downside is that a few routes feel empty, like they needed more trainers or hidden items to break up the walking.

If you're into ROM hacks, Pokemon Sky Twilight is worth checking out. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it's a solid twist on the classic formula.
