Game Overview

Okay, so Pokémon Stadium never actually made it to the SNES—it was an N64 thing—but man, can you imagine if it had? Picture this: all your Gen 1 favorites, but with chunky 16-bit sprites that actually show off their moves instead of those tiny Game Boy pixels. Charizard’s Flamethrower would look like an actual firestorm, not just a flicker.

You’d probably start by plugging in your team from Red or Blue, then jump straight into battles where the animations actually matter. No more waiting through sluggish transitions—just quick, punchy turns with Pikachu’s Thunderbolt cracking across the screen. Maybe they’d even sneak in some mini-games, like a pixel-perfect version of that sushi-eating contest from the N64 one.

Honestly, it’s the SNES Pokémon battle sim we never got. And now I’m sad it doesn’t exist.
