Pokemon Stranded starts with your character waking up on a strange island, no pokeballs, no map, just you and whatever wild pokemon are lurking in the tall grass. The first thing I did was panic-run through the trees, hoping not to get jumped by something way too strong for me.

It's got that classic GBA feel, but with this weird survival twist where you're actually scrounging for berries and crafting basic pokeballs before you can even think about building a team. I spent way too long just trying to catch a decent starter because everything either ran or nearly wrecked me in two hits.

Once you get past the initial struggle, Pokemon Stranded opens up into this mix of exploration and tense battles where losing means walking all the way back from your last camp. The island's got some neat secrets too, like hidden caves and trainers who don't play fair.
