Pokémon White 2, but with the annoying EXP curve fixed? Yeah, this patched version smooths out the grind so you can actually enjoy the game instead of fighting wild Audinos for hours. You start in Aspertia City with your first Pokémon—I went with Oshawott, because water types are just reliable—and the world opens up fast. Before long, you're bouncing between gym battles, Team Plasma shenanigans, and that weirdly addictive Pokémon Musical side hustle.
The map’s packed with callbacks to Black and White, but it doesn’t just rehash the same story. New areas, a proper hard mode, and way more Pokémon to catch early on make it feel fresh. And thank god for the EXP patch—no more overleveling your starter while the rest of your team lags behind. It’s still classic Pokémon, just less frustrating.
If you missed this one back in the DS days, now’s the time. The postgame alone could keep you busy for weeks.
