Download Princess Crown (J) ROM โ SEGA Saturn Game
Game Overview
Princess Crown came out for the Sega Saturn in 1997, published by Atlus. It was one of those late Saturn releases that really pushed the hardware's 2D capabilities, with detailed sprites and lush backgrounds that still hold up. The game arrived at a time when 3D was taking over, but it felt like a confident, polished throwback to the action RPGs of the 16-bit era.
You control the young princess Gradriel, traveling across a fantasy world to lift a curse and confront her possessed sisters. The game plays out screen by screen, with exploration, light puzzle solving, and real-time combat that feels closer to a fighting game than a typical action RPG. You execute combos with your sword, block and dodge attacks, and even use items mid-battle to heal or buff yourself. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can be punishing, demanding careful timing and resource management. Playing it feels like directing a small, intense play where every input matters.
