Project Rub, known as Feel the Magic: XY/XX in some regions, came out for the Nintendo DS in 2004, developed and published by Sega. It was one of those early titles that really tried to show off what the DS could do, using both screens, the microphone, and the touch controls in ways that felt new at the time.

You play as a hopeful young man trying to impress a girl by completing a series of bizarre mini-games. The main objective is to get through each challenge without failing too many times, using actions like blowing into the microphone to inflate balloons, scribbling on the touch screen to shave a beard, or tapping quickly to break boards. The pacing is fast and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially in later stages where precision matters more. It feels silly and frantic, like you're performing a strange series of tasks just to see what happens next.
