Game Overview

Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon came out in 1993 for MS-DOS, developed by Humongous Entertainment. It was part of that wave of early '90s point-and-click adventures aimed at younger players, with simple graphics and a friendly, exploratory vibe. You play as Putt-Putt, a little purple car who, after a mishap with a rocket, ends up stranded on the moon.

You control Putt-Putt by clicking around each screen, talking to lunar aliens and picking up items to use elsewhere. The main goal is to find all the pieces of your broken rocket so you can return home. Signature mechanics include screen-by-screen exploration, light inventory puzzles (like using a magnet to retrieve a key), and helping characters with small tasks, such as reassembling a robot or delivering moon cheese. The pacing is relaxed, with no time pressure, and the difficulty is gentle enough for kids to follow. It feels cheerful and satisfying to untangle each little problem and hear that happy tune when you succeed.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
