Game Overview

Race Mania came out in 1996 for MS-DOS, developed by Flair Software Ltd. It was one of those late-era DOS racers that didn't try to be flashy, just straightforward and a bit rough around the edges. You picked it up knowing it wouldn't be polished, but that was part of its charm back when every game didn't have to be a blockbuster.

You control a small, top-down vehicle through a series of short, obstacle-filled tracks, trying to finish each race without totaling your car. Between races, you manage a simple garage where you repair damage and upgrade parts using prize money. The tracks are tight and often chaotic, with hazards that can quickly end a run if you're not careful. It feels scrappy and unpredictable, like you're always one wrong turn away from disaster.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
