Play Rebel Moon Online

You pilot a scrappy little ship through waves of smart enemies—they flank, fake retreats, and force you to scavenge upgrades mid-fight while synth beats blast. Feels like R-Type but meaner.

Game Overview

Rebel Moon came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Simon & Schuster Interactive. It was one of those space shooters that felt right at home in an era when PC gaming was really starting to push what 2D graphics and sound could do. You didn't need a powerhouse machine to run it, but it still demanded your attention.

You control a small, nimble fighter ship tasked with clearing screen after screen of enemy formations. The main goal is survival, pushing deeper into hostile territory while blasting everything in your path. Enemy ships use clever tactics; they'll fake retreats to lure you into traps or flank you from both sides if you're not careful. You collect power-ups during combat to upgrade your weapons and shields, which is essential because the difficulty ramps up quickly. It feels tense and rewarding, especially when you finally break through a tough wave with just a sliver of health left.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
