Play Rings of Zilfin Online
You wander a crayon-bright world where mushrooms trick you and checkerboard floors swallow you whole—collect rings while figuring out who’s actually helpful (spoiler: not the guy trading rocks for coins).

Rings of Zilfin came out in 1986 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Infocom. It was a text adventure with graphics, a common hybrid for its time, letting you explore a world built from words and simple, colorful images. You navigate a landscape that feels both whimsical and quietly treacherous, a place where the rules aren't always clear from the start.
You control an adventurer whose main goal is to gather the scattered Rings of Zilfin. You move screen by screen, typing commands to interact with objects and characters, solving environmental puzzles that often rely on careful observation and inventory use. The pacing is deliberate, demanding patience as you decipher clues and avoid pitfalls, like checkerboard floors that can trap you or mushrooms that offer misleading advice. It feels like piecing together a fragile, slightly mischievous story where every successful action is a small, hard-won victory.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
