Scooby-Doo! on GBC is one of those games that just gets the cartoon—right down to the way Shaggy and Scooby bolt out of a room the second something moves. You start off investigating a haunted amusement park (because of course you do), creeping around pixelated hallways, picking up clues, and occasionally triggering those classic "zoinks!" moments when a ghost pops up.

The puzzles aren’t brain-melters, but they’re satisfying—like figuring out which disguise will trick the villain into revealing themselves, or where to hide when the gang splits up. And yeah, there’s a lot of backtracking to grab random items (why does Velma always need a specific book?), but it feels like an episode you’re playing through, complete with cheesy dialogue and that bouncy soundtrack.

Honestly, half the fun is watching the gang’s exaggerated reactions in those tiny GBC sprites. If you ever wanted to feel like the fifth member of Mystery Inc., this is as close as it gets.
