Play Shaman King Card Game - Chou Senjiryakketsu - Funbari Hen (Japan) Online
Pick your shaman and duel with spirit cards—Hao’s deck will wreck you if you just spam Amidamaru like I did at first. The pixel art pops, battles stay quick, and there’s some sneaky strategy under the surface.

Shaman King Card Game: Chou Senjiryakketsu - Funbari Hen came out in 2001 for the Game Boy Color, developed by KCEJ and published by Konami. It was one of those late-era GBC titles that tried to squeeze a little more out of the hardware before the Advance took over, and it's a solid adaptation of the manga's card battling premise.
You control Yoh Asakura and other shamans, moving through locations on a simple map to challenge opponents. The main goal is to build a strong deck and win duels by depleting your rival's spirit points. Battles play out through card selection; you choose attack, defense, or special cards, each tied to different spirits and abilities. The strategy comes from managing your hand and anticipating the opponent's moves rather than complex combos. The pacing is brisk, and while it can feel repetitive after a while, the card mechanics have enough depth to feel satisfying when your plans come together. It feels like a straightforward, portable duel simulator that captures the feel of the series without overcomplicating things.
