Game Overview

Shark! was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though details about its developer or publisher are scarce. It belongs to that era of simple, single-screen arcade-style games that relied on clear mechanics and escalating tension rather than complex graphics or story. You boot it up, and within seconds you're in the water, with one goal: survive.

You control a swimmer who must avoid a shark that patrols the screen. The main objective is to last as long as possible without being caught. The shark moves in set patterns, but its speed increases over time, forcing you to anticipate its path and react quickly. You navigate using the arrow keys, weaving through the open water while keeping a constant eye on the predator's position. The pacing is deliberately stressful; the longer you stay alive, the narrower your margins for error become. It feels like a pure test of reflexes and patience, where every second stretches out under pressure.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
