Game Overview

Sid Meier's Covert Action came out in 1990 from MicroProse Software, a name plenty of DOS gamers knew well. It was a spy game that felt different from the action-heavy titles of the time, more about using your brain than your trigger finger. You played as a CIA agent named Max Remington, tasked with stopping international conspiracies before they could unfold.

You control Max across several mission types, from wiretapping phones and tailing suspects through city streets to deciphering codes and disarming bombs. The main goal is to gather enough intel to identify and capture the mastermind behind a plot. The game is known for its real-time pressure; the clock is always counting down, and a mistake can set you back significantly. It feels tense and thoughtful, like a puzzle where every piece matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
