Game Overview

I remember picking up Sito Pons 500cc Grand Prix back in 1990, a time when MS-DOS was still the go-to for serious PC gaming. It was published by Zigurat Software S.L., and it fit right in with the era's growing interest in motorsport simulations. The game didn't try to be flashy; it was straightforward, built for players who wanted a taste of 500cc motorcycle racing without the frills.

You control a rider on a Grand Prix bike, competing in a full championship across real-world circuits. The main objective is to qualify well and finish races in the highest position possible. Signature mechanics include managing tire wear and fuel consumption, along with drafting opponents to gain speed on straights. The pacing is intense, and the AI is notoriously aggressive, making clean overtakes a real challenge. It feels raw and demanding, like every mistake costs you precious seconds.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
