Skate Boardin' came out in 1987 for the Atari 2600, developed and published by Absolute Entertainment. It was one of those late-era releases that tried to push the aging hardware a little further, offering a skateboarding simulation when most games on the system were simpler arcade-style experiences.

You control a small, blocky skateboarder viewed from above, navigating through a series of single-screen obstacle courses. The main goal is to reach school within a strict time limit, avoiding hazards like rocks and pedestrians while performing ollies to jump over obstacles or grind on rails. You move screen by screen, and the challenge comes from the tight timer and occasionally unforgiving collision detection. It feels like a race against the clock where every mistake costs precious seconds.
