Skies of Arcadia Legends is one of those RPGs that just sticks with you. You play as Vyse and Aika, a pair of sky pirates who stumble into a much bigger adventure when they meet Fina—a girl with a quiet intensity and a mission to recover these ancient moon crystals. Of course, the Valuan Empire wants them too, and they’re not exactly playing fair.

What I love is how the game balances two kinds of battles: your usual turn-based fights with your crew, and these epic ship-to-ship brawls where you’re shouting orders like some kind of sky admiral. The world feels huge, too—you’re always hopping between floating islands in your airship, discovering weird little towns and getting into trouble.

The GameCube version polishes up the Dreamcast original with sharper visuals, some extra side stories, and a few new faces who actually make the world feel deeper. It’s the kind of RPG where you lose track of time because you just want to see what’s over the next cloudbank.
