Sonic Advance 2 came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by Dimps and published by Sega. Signature mechanics include the new trick system, which lets you perform mid-air flips and spins to gain speed or height, and the partner character system where a second hero follows you and can be called for assistance. The pacing is relentlessly fast, and the level design often demands quick reflexes and memorization.
