Game Overview

Space Station Escape is a 1990s MS-DOS release, part of the 0 MS-DOS Classic Games collection. It was developed by a small team whose name isn't widely remembered today, but the game fits right into that era of experimental, often unforgiving sci-fi adventures. You won't find glossy cutscenes or orchestral scores here; it's all low-res sprites and beeping sound effects, typical of the platform's early ambitions.

You control an engineer trapped aboard a failing orbital station, tasked with restoring power, bypassing locked doors, and avoiding malfunctioning security drones. The main objective is to reactivate the escape pod before life support fails completely. Signature mechanics include screen-by-screen exploration, where you must carefully manage a limited inventory of tools like keycards and bypass chips, and environmental interaction through a verb-based command interface (open, use, fix). The pacing is tense; mistakes are costly, and the station feels actively hostile. Playing it feels like solving a desperate, real-time puzzle under pressure.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
