Game Overview

Spider-Man - Bataille pour New York on the DS is exactly what you'd want from a handheld Spidey game—swinging between buildings feels surprisingly smooth for the hardware, and the combat’s got just enough punch to keep things interesting. You start off chasing down some low-level thugs, but before long, you're dodging rockets from the Green Goblin or getting tangled up with Doc Ock’s mechanical arms.

The touchscreen actually works here—quick swipes for web-slinging, taps for combos—instead of feeling tacked on. And yeah, the graphics are pixelated by today’s standards, but there’s charm in seeing Spider-Man flip-kick a goon in chunky DS 3D. If you’ve got nostalgia for mid-2000s superhero games, this one’s a solid time capsule.
