Game Overview

Star Lords came out in 1993 from a company called Software 2000, one of those deep space strategy games that felt right at home on MS-DOS. It wasn't flashy, but it had a certain depth that kept you at the keyboard for hours, plotting your next move while the computer fan hummed.

You control a fledgling space empire, starting with a single planet and a handful of ships. Your goal is to expand, either through conquest or careful diplomacy, while managing resources and researching new technologies. The game plays out across a map of star systems, with turn-based movement and combat; you explore new sectors, negotiate with alien races (who remember every slight), and engage in tactical fleet battles where positioning and ship design matter. The pacing is deliberate, almost slow, and the difficulty can be punishing if you expand too recklessly. It feels like a tense, calculated chess match played across the void.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
