Game Overview

Star Traders is that old-school MS-DOS space trading game where you start with a beat-up ship and a pocketful of credits, and suddenly you're obsessing over spice prices on Rigel IV. One minute you're hauling textiles like a responsible merchant, the next you're weighing the risk of smuggling alien artifacts because some shady contact offered triple the usual rate.

The beauty is how it throws you in without a tutorial—you'll fumble through your first few jumps, probably get ambushed by pirates near Tau Ceti, and learn real quick that upgrading your engines before your weapons is a rookie mistake. The pixel-art star systems have this weirdly cozy feel, even when you're desperately outrunning patrol ships with a hold full of contraband.

It's Elite's grittier cousin—less about epic space battles, more about scraping by and feeling like a proper scoundrel when you finally afford that fancy new cargo hold. Just don't get too attached to your first crew.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
