Game Overview

Stone Age on the Amiga is one of those puzzle games that looks simple at first—until you realize how sneaky the level design gets. You control this little dinosaur trying to navigate caves full of weird blocks: some just sit there, others crumble under your feet, and some slide in one direction when you step on them. Oh, and don’t forget the colored keys—grab the right one or you’ll hit a dead end at a matching lock.

There’s a time limit, so you can’t just sit around figuring things out forever (though the easier mode gives you a bit more breathing room). The levels save your progress, which is nice, but if you run out of time, say goodbye to that life. The graphics are charmingly basic, almost cartoony, and the caves mix things up enough to keep you guessing.

With 100 levels, passwords to jump back in later, and even a jukebox to tweak the soundtrack, it’s got that classic Amiga puzzle charm. Just don’t be surprised if you get stuck staring at the screen, trying to figure out how to push that one block without trapping yourself.
