Game Overview

Street Ball was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a release that bundled several titles without a specific number. Developed by Electronic Arts, it arrived during a period when sports games were beginning to explore more arcade-style action rather than strict simulation. It stood out for its focus on fast, exaggerated basketball rather than realistic league play.

You control one of two players on a 2-on-2 team, using the keyboard to dribble, pass, and shoot on outdoor courts against CPU opponents or a friend. The main objective is to outscore the other team within a time limit, with matches feeling quick and frantic. Signature mechanics include performing flashy dunks by timing your jump correctly near the hoop, and stealing the ball through aggressive defensive positioning, though mistiming a steal often leaves you out of place. The game moves at a breakneck pace, and the ball changes possession constantly, making every match feel unpredictable and a little messy. It captures the feeling of a heated, back-and-forth playground argument translated into simple, energetic gameplay.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
