Striker came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed by Rage Software. You control a team of footballers viewed from an isometric perspective, moving players around the pitch and passing or shooting to score goals. The main objective is straightforward: win matches through tactical play and quick reflexes. Signature mechanics include the ability to perform sliding tackles, execute lofted through balls, and unleash powerful shots that test the keeper. The pacing is fast, almost frantic at times, and the difficulty can spike sharply against more aggressive computer teams.
