I picked up The Super Aquatic Games on the SNES back in 1993, a title from Millennium Interactive that always felt like one of those oddball sports compilations from the era. You control different athletes across a series of underwater events, from jet-ski racing to high diving and even underwater wrestling. The main goal is simply to win each event, competing against other swimmers or racing against the clock. Key mechanics include managing your oxygen meter during submerged events, which adds a layer of tension, and navigating the sometimes unpredictable physics during races and dives. The pacing is quick, jumping from one event to the next, though the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in certain mini-games. Playing it feels like stumbling through a chaotic but earnest swim meet where anything can happen.
