Play Super Game Boy (World) (Rev A) Online

Remember that weird little cartridge that let you play Game Boy games on your SNES? The Super Game Boy was this clunky adapter that basically shoved a whole Game Boy inside your console. You'd pop in your old Game Boy cartridges and suddenly they'd show up on the big screen—with colors! Well, sort of. Some games looked decent with the preset palettes, but others? Yikes. That greenish-brown "jungle" theme they defaulted to for Pokémon? Not great.

What was cool though was how it turned your SNES controller into a Game Boy pad. The D-pad felt way better than the actual handheld, but good luck hitting that "select" button mid-battle. And yeah, it ran at the same sluggish Game Boy speed—no turbo mode here. Still, as a kid, it felt like magic seeing your tiny portable games blown up on the TV. Just don't expect it to make your copy of Tetris look any less pixelated.
