Super Monkey Ball DS is that weirdly addictive game where you tilt mazes to roll monkeys in plastic balls toward the goal. Sounds simple, right? Then you immediately send AiAi flying off the edge because the DS stylus controls take some getting used to—but once it clicks, you'll be nudging those little guys through loops and narrow paths like a pro.

The Japanese version has all the same chaotic energy as the arcade original, just crammed onto a tiny screen. Some of the later levels get brutal (I still haven’t three-starred that one with the spinning platforms), but there’s something satisfying about finally nailing a run after ten failed attempts. If you’ve got a soft spot for physics-based chaos, this one’s a solid time-killer.
