Game Overview

Super Scope 6 was that weird, bulky light gun game for the SNES that came bundled with the Super Scope itself. It’s basically six mini-games crammed into one cartridge, split between Blastris (puzzle-ish stuff) and LaserBlazer (straight-up shooting).

The Blastris modes are bizarre takes on Tetris and Columns where you can’t move the blocks—instead, you shoot them to break pieces off or change colors. It’s oddly satisfying when you clear a row by blasting it apart, though the later levels get brutal with how fast everything moves.

Mole Patrol is exactly what it sounds like: moles pop up, you shoot them. Simple, but the pink speed-up moles keep you on your toes. The LaserBlazer modes are more traditional shooter fare—missiles, UFOs, limited ammo—with the radar helping track enemies off-screen. Type C gets intense when the UFOs start firing back aggressively.

It’s definitely a product of its time, but there’s something charming about how janky and experimental it feels. Just don’t expect deep gameplay—it’s all about quick, arcade-style bursts.
