Play Super Slam Dunk Online

Dribble down the court with that weird vertical split-screen—takes a sec to adjust, but then you’re slamming dunks while Chick Hearn’s voice cracks from overuse. Fake NBA teams, real ‘90s vibes.

Game Overview

Super Slam Dunk on SNES is one of those basketball games that feels just familiar enough to trick you into thinking it’s an official NBA title—until you notice the slightly off team names. Still, 27 out of 28 teams are basically the real deal from the '90s, plus an all-star squad if you want to stack the deck.

The court’s split vertically, so you only see half at a time. It takes a second to adjust when the screen flips as you cross midcourt, but once you do, it actually makes the action feel faster. Magic Johnson pops in with some pre-game hype, and Chick Hearn’s play-by-play gives it that old-school broadcast vibe—even if he repeats himself after a while.

You’ve got exhibition matches and an 8-team playoff mode, plus options to tweak quarter length and turn fouls on or off (because let’s be honest, nobody wants to stop for free throws every five seconds). It’s not the deepest basketball sim, but it’s solid for quick games when you just want to dunk on your friends.
