Super Space Invaders Disk1 came out for the Amiga in 1991, developed by The Sales Curve and published by Ocean Software. It was part of that wave of arcade updates that tried to squeeze more out of home computers, offering a familiar concept with a few new layers. You got this on floppy disk, and it felt like a solid, polished take for its time, not trying to reinvent the wheel but just to do it well.

You control a laser cannon at the bottom of the screen, moving it left and right to shoot formations of aliens that inch downward. Your main goal is to clear each screen of enemies before they reach the bottom or you run out of lives. The game introduces power-ups that drop from specific aliens, like spread shots or shields, and you'll face boss ships every few levels that require more focused attacks. The pacing is methodical; you have to pick your shots carefully as the aliens get faster and more aggressive. It feels tense and satisfying when you clear a tricky wave by the skin of your teeth.
