Game Overview

Super Street Fighter II on MS-DOS is that grainy, slightly janky but lovable version of the arcade classic you’d play on your dad’s beige computer. Yeah, the colors aren’t as bright, and the sound effects sometimes sound like they’re coming through a tin can—but the moment you throw your first Hadouken with Ryu or land Dhalsim’s stretchy kick from across the screen, it clicks. This port added four new fighters, and Dee Jay’s obnoxious laugh alone makes him worth picking.

It’s not the prettiest version, but there’s something weirdly charming about how the pixels judder when you pull off a special move. You’ll spend half your time squinting at the tiny health bars, the other half mashing buttons trying to remember Blanka’s electric shock input. Pure ‘90s fighting game chaos, just with more DOS prompts in the background.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
