Game Overview

Super Worms came out in 2003 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Wiering Software. It was a late release for the platform, a time when many players had already moved on to newer systems, but it offered a dose of straightforward, arcade-style action for those still loyal to the DOS environment.

You control a stretchy, segmented worm, racing around compact, maze-like tracks while trying to blast your opponent. The main goal is to reduce the other worm to nothing by shooting its segments; each hit shortens your rival, and the last worm standing wins. Key mechanics include collecting power-ups scattered across the screen for temporary advantages, and carefully aiming your shots to snipe specific segments without leaving yourself vulnerable. The pacing is fast and a little chaotic, with the screen often crowded and reactions needing to be quick. It feels like a tense, silly duel where every move could turn the tables.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
