Superhero League of Hoboken came out in 1994 for MS-DOS, developed by Legend Entertainment. It was part of that wave of late-era adventure games that mixed humor with point-and-click exploration, standing out for its ridiculous premise in a field crowded with more serious fantasy and sci-fi titles.

You control a team of misfit superheroes, each with a useless power like untying knots or generating red tape, navigating a flooded, garbage-choked Hoboken. The goal is to clean up the city by battling mutant trash monsters in turn-based combat and solving inventory-based puzzles that often rely on absurd logic. Progress is screen-by-screen, with a lot of backtracking and dialogue trees that drive the silly story forward. The pacing is slow, and some puzzles are downright obscure, but the writing carries it. It feels like managing a community theater troupe that’s accidentally stumbled into saving the world.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
