Play Superman (Japan) Online

You awkwardly float through Metropolis, punching things that may or may not be enemies while the cape physics fight you every step of the way. It’s that special kind of broken where crashing into buildings becomes its own weird minigame.

Game Overview

Superman on NES is one of those weird, janky licensed games from the late '80s that somehow made it out of Japan. You fly around Metropolis (badly) in a stiff side-scroller where Supes controls like a brick with a cape. The hit detection is questionable, and half the time you're not sure if you're punching Lex Luthor or a random street lamp. Still, there's something oddly charming about its clunky attempt to cram the Man of Steel into 8-bit form—just don't expect it to hold up next to the better NES action games.
