Game Overview
So, Tetris 2 is weird—it’s not really Tetris at all. Instead of clearing lines, you’re matching colors. Same falling blocks, but now you’ve got to stack three of the same color to make them vanish. Feels more like Dr. Mario wearing a Tetris costume.
The Game Boy version’s got that classic chunky pixel look, and the music’s still weirdly catchy. Took me a few tries to stop instinctively trying to build straight lines—old habits die hard. Once you get the hang of it, there’s something satisfying about watching a whole chunk of the board dissolve because you lined up the right colors.
Not sure it needed to be called Tetris, but it’s a fun little puzzle twist if you’re tired of the original.
