Ever played Tetris and thought, "This needs more chaos and weird powers"? That’s Tetris Battle Gaiden. It’s still Tetris at heart, but now you’re dropping blocks while also slinging magic spells at your opponent—or a friend, if you’ve got one handy.
Pick from eight (well, technically ten) characters, each with their own ridiculous abilities. One might freeze your opponent’s screen, another might flip their controls—just collect enough yellow orbs first. The real twist? You’re both pulling from the same block queue, so you can snipe that perfect piece right before they need it. Petty? Absolutely. Fun? Oh yeah.
Single-player’s got a story mode where you take on increasingly smug AI opponents. It starts easy, but by the end, they’re pulling moves that’ll make you yell at your SNES. The whole thing’s over-the-top in the best way possible.
