Play Tetris on Msdos Online
Rotate and drop blocks to clear lines and keep the stack from reaching the top in this classic puzzle game.

I first played Tetris on MS-DOS back in the late 80s, on a friend's beige box computer. It was part of that 1986 MS-DOS Classic Games release, a version of Alexey Pajitnov's creation that felt perfectly at home on the platform. In an era of text adventures and early graphical experiments, Tetris was a stark, focused thing. It didn't try to be anything more than it was.
You control the descent of differently shaped blocks, rotating them with the keyboard to form solid horizontal lines. The main objective is to clear these lines to prevent the stack from reaching the top of the playfield. The signature mechanics are the rotation of the tetrominoes and the satisfaction of clearing multiple lines at once, which the game calls a Tetris. The pacing starts deceptively slow but quickly becomes relentless, demanding faster decisions as the levels climb. It feels like a pure, escalating battle against your own reflexes and the game's simple, cruel logic.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
