I first played The Elf's Christmas Adventure from the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though I never found out who made it. It was one of those simple, festive platformers that felt right at home on a floppy disk in the early 90s, a time when holiday games were more about charm than complexity.

You control a small elf tasked with delivering presents by navigating a series of single-screen winter landscapes. The main goal is to reach the end of each stage without falling into the snow or getting hit by hazards like thrown snowballs. Movement is screen by screen, with a focus on precise jumps across moving platforms like spinning candy canes and icy ledges. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty comes from the slippery controls and timing-based obstacles. It feels like a careful, sometimes frustrating, but ultimately cheerful test of patience.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
