Game Overview

Remember that weird, kinda-bootleg Mario clone from the late '80s? The Great Giana Sisters is that game—but honestly, it's way more fun than it had any right to be. You pick between Giana or Maria (no real difference, just pick your favorite) and jump through these trippy dreamworld levels full of angry owls and fish that somehow kill you on land. The first few screens feel familiar if you've played Mario, but then you start finding power-ups like fire wheels that let you yeet flames at enemies, and suddenly it's its own thing.

The levels get surprisingly creative—one minute you're bouncing on mushrooms, the next you're dodging spiders in a pitch-black cave with only flickering lights to guide you. And yeah, the whole "controversy" thing is part of its charm now. The controls are snappy, the music has this grungy synth vibe, and good luck finding all the hidden lollipops tucked behind fake walls. It's janky in that old-school way where falling in water means instant death, but that just makes beating a tough level even sweeter.

If you dig retro platformers that don't take themselves too seriously, this one's a weird little time capsule worth playing.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
