Game Overview

Remember those old-school puzzle games where you'd set up ridiculous Rube Goldberg machines? The Incredible Machine 2 took that concept and cranked it up—more parts, weirder contraptions, and way better graphics than the first one. You start dragging stuff like conveyor belts, cats (yes, cats), and balloons onto the screen, trying to make some absurd chain reaction work. Half the time your setup fails spectacularly, but when it finally clicks? So satisfying.

The big deal here was the freeform mode—you could build your own puzzles from scratch and even define what "solving" them meant. Spent way too many hours making nonsense machines just to watch a ball roll into a basket. Also, hotseat multiplayer meant you could torture a friend with your impossible creations. Later versions just prettied it up, but this was the one that really got the formula right.

If you like tinkering until something stupidly complicated works (or fails in a hilarious way), this is still one of the best.
