Game Overview

Top Gear on SNES is one of those racing games that feels simple at first—pick one of four cars, then just gun it through tracks set in different countries. But man, those turns sneak up on you. One second you're flying down a straightaway, the next you're eating dirt because you didn't brake in time for that hairpin in Monaco.

The tracks have this weirdly satisfying flow once you get the hang of them, and the pit stops actually matter if you don't want your engine giving up halfway through. Oh, and watch out for the random debris—nothing like losing first place because some jerk left a tire in the middle of the road. It's got that early '90s arcade vibe where it's easy to pick up but punishing if you get sloppy.

Soundtrack's an absolute banger, too. You'll be humming the main theme for days.
