Touch! Bomberman Land on DS is basically classic Bomberman but with a twist—you control everything with the stylus. At first I thought the touch controls would feel gimmicky, but they actually work surprisingly well for planting bombs and dodging explosions. The single-player mode throws you into these weird mini-games and puzzles where you’ve gotta think fast, but the real fun is the multiplayer. Get a few friends together, and suddenly it’s chaos—someone always ends up blowing themselves up by accident.

There’s a whole bunch of stages with different gimmicks, like ice floors that make you slide or warp tiles that teleport you mid-battle. The Japanese version (which this is) has some quirky charm to it, though you might need a guide if you don’t read the language. Still, blowing stuff up is universal.
